I have been working as a professional psychotherapist for over 25 years. I enjoy a diverse practice working with all ages, including young children and the elderly. When you come to me with a problem, I will try to understand the full context of your experiences, your relationships, your talents, and the challenges you confront every day to help you find the most effective ways to improve your life. In working with children, I meet regularly with their parents and consult whenever possible with others who care for them, such as extended family and teachers. In working with adolescents, I create a space where they can look beyond their immediate crisis and start to see who they will become. You will find some of the most effective, research-proven techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, exposure and response prevention therapy, individual and parent-child play therapy, and a variety of dynamic therapies in my tool box, but I am mindful that the tools aren’t there for me; they are for your use.
