All people have resources for self-healing and my goal is to help you mobilize these strengths. I keep up with advances in the field and train with outstanding teachers when game-changing new techniques come along so I can get you where you want to go as quickly and efficiently as possible. While I love a quick ‘cure’ as much as anyone, I’m dedicated to working hard for you for as long and as often as it takes to get you back on track in your life, while always looking for a new approach or opportunity to get you on your feet again. I am compassionate and tactful, but also direct and practical. We will have a clear path, specific goals, and regular reviews of where we are on that path and what we can do better. I have a very broad background in psychotherapy techniques, and I am always adding more training and skills. I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, though my practice over 35 years has included much more than addictions counseling. I have excellent skills in the many dialects of cognitive behavioral therapy, marital therapy, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness therapy, biofeedback, and dynamic trauma therapy, to name just a few. I work with adults, couples, and families.
