Heidi Deininger

Nurse Practitioner

Heidi Deininger is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her BSN from the University of Michigan and began her nursing career working inpatient adult oncology and later earned her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Tennessee. Throughout her nursing career, Heidi has worked with diverse populations in multiple settings, including breast oncology and child/adolescent psychiatry. Because of her evolving interest in psych-oncology and mental health, she completed PMHNP studies at the University of Cincinnati. Heidi is passionate about clinical research, treatment advances, and the art and science of psychiatry across the lifespan.

Her approach to care is rooted in compassion, evidence-based practice, and a deep commitment to patient-centered treatment. She provides outpatient/telehealth psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults and treats a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. She is known for her empathetic listening, collaborative style, and dedication to helping patients navigate their mental health journeys. Outside of her clinical work, Heidi enjoys spending time with family, hiking, backpacking, reading, and yoga.
